Faith Leaders Unite to Promote an Accurate and Complete 2020 Census Count
Faith leaders from diverse religious communities came together at the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2020 Census Interfaith Summit to highlight the importance of ensuring that every person is counted. The gathering brought together representatives from different faith communities to discuss ways they could encourage census participation and help their communities understand why the census matters. Leaders emphasized that an accurate census count supports fair representation and helps communities receive resources for important needs such as education, health care, housing, child care, and other public services. The event also encouraged faith-based organizations to take an active role in informing and engaging their communities throughout the 2020 Census.
