Omaha, Nebraska Dr. Kumar Gurung has been conferred the Lifetime Legacy and Leadership Award 2026 in recognition of his sustained contributions to education, spirituality, entrepreneurship, and humanitarian service within the Bhutanese-Nepali diaspora. The Global Bhutanese Organization, Global Bhutanese Literary Organization, Bhutanese American Music Association, Global Foundation, and the Bhutanese Society of Nebraska jointly presented the award.
