After overcoming the hardships of a refugee journey to earn a doctorate in business administration, Dr. Kumar Gurung was celebrated in Omaha, Nebraska, for a lifetime of leadership, entrepreneurship, and service to the Bhutanese Nepali community, receiving the Lifetime Legacy and Leadership Award 2026 alongside fellow honoree Dr. Narad Pokhrel.
